To honour her legacy, a statue of Nurse Caisse is erected in the town of Bracebridge, Ontario.

In 1977, Rene Caisse provided her formula and historical records to a firm which promised to do research on her formula. In August 1978, Rene Caisse received an award from Frank Miller, the Minister of Health for Ontario from 1974 to 1977. Nurse Caisse passed away in December 1978, at the age of 90. Her legacy continues.
